Your AI Compass: Navigating the New Normal đź§
GPT-4 Turbo 128k Context Window
Wait, what’s a context window? A context window is the specific range of words that a computer program looks at to understand or process the part of the text it’s focusing on at any moment. For reference, 128k tokens is roughly 300 pages of a standard book, which is a a 4x increase from what ChatGPT previously supported. This substantial increase allows for more extensive interactions and better memory over long conversations.
Custom GPT Store
Sam Altman’s, OpenAI CEO, “one more thing” was introducing Custom GPTs - a way for people to create specific purpose versions of ChatGPT with natural language. There will also be a GPT Store (think App Store) with a revenue share for creators. Custom GPTs are available to create today in ChatGPT. The GPT Store will be public this month (Nov 2023), exact date TBD.
Honestly, everyday we are getting closer to:
“Write simply in your native language and build automations, apps, and tools almost instantly”
The world we live in blows my mind. So ready for 2024.
